Getting started
How do we start working together?
It starts with a free strategy call. We look at your store, your numbers, and where the real growth is hiding. There is no pitch and no pressure. If it is a fit, I scope the work to your store and send a clear proposal. If it is not, you walk away with a few honest pointers either way.
Do I have to buy everything, or can I start with one service?
Start with whatever makes sense for where you are. Plenty of clients begin with a single service, a store build, one ad platform, or a Klaviyo flow build, and add more once they see it working. Nothing here is all-or-nothing.
Who actually does the work?
You work with me directly, not a junior or an account manager who passes your store to someone else. Fresh Start eCommerce is an operator-run practice. The person on the call is the person in your ad account.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
Mostly eCommerce brands on Shopify, from new stores getting off the ground to established brands doing seven figures a year. If you sell a product online and want to grow it with paid traffic, email, and a store that converts, you are in the right place.
The services
What does a Shopify build include?
A fast, clean, conversion-ready store built from the ground up. That covers a custom homepage, collection pages, and product pages, all designed mobile-first, with a layout built to move people toward checkout. Tracking and email are wired in from the start, so paid ads can plug straight in when you scale.
Which ad platforms do you run?
Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), and Microsoft Ads. Most brands start with Google and Meta as a one-two punch: Google captures people already searching, Meta retargets and finds new buyers. Microsoft is a strong add-on later, since one setup runs across Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and AOL at once, often at a lower cost per click.
What is the difference between the two Klaviyo services?
There are two. The Flow & SMS Build-Out is a one-time setup of your automated emails, welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, and win-back, built once and earning with no monthly fee. Weekly Email Campaigns is the ongoing service where I design and send campaigns to your list every week to keep it warm and buying between launches. You can do the build alone, or pair it with weekly campaigns.
What is a store audit, and how is it different from a build?
An audit is a clear read on a store you already have. I review where shoppers drop off, check your load speed, and walk the path from landing page to checkout, then hand you an action plan with the highest-impact fixes ranked first. A build is for starting fresh. An audit is for getting more out of what you already have before spending another dollar on traffic.
What does the bookkeeping service cover?
Clean monthly profit and loss statements, expense categorization, and a channel-by-channel cost breakdown, so you know what is actually profitable instead of guessing. Records are kept tax-season ready all year. It pairs naturally with ad management, since you can see exactly what each channel earns against what it costs.
What is a growth retainer?
An ongoing partnership where I build the foundation, then keep scaling it month over month. Ads get tuned and expanded, email gets sharper, winning campaigns get more budget, and you get monthly strategy and clear reporting. It is built for owners who are done with one-off fixes and want lasting momentum from one partner who owns the outcome.
Ads, budget & approvals
Is ad spend included in your fees?
No. My management fee covers my work. The ad spend, the money that goes to Google or Meta to actually run the ads, is separate and paid by you directly to the platforms, so you stay in full control of it. I recommend starting at $500 to $2,000 per month per platform and scaling into what works.
How much should I budget for ads?
We can start small. It does not take much spend to gather the data needed to optimize, a few hundred dollars over a couple of weeks is enough to work with before scaling up. As campaigns convert, sales help offset the spend, so the budget becomes more self-funding over time.
What if my ad account gets suspended or disapproved?
I handle it. Ad accounts and Merchant Center accounts sometimes get disapproved or suspended, and it can happen at any time, not just at setup. If it does, I am the one who gets them reinstated. I have been down this road many times. Sometimes a fix takes a while, but it always gets turned around.
How soon will I see results?
Paid media is a build, not a switch you flip. The first month or two is setup, approvals, and gathering data on a modest budget. The middle stretch is optimization as the data matures. The back half is scaling what works. No one credible promises an exact return on a new account, what I promise is the right structure, daily attention, and the discipline to let data lead.
Billing & terms
How does billing work?
Ad management is billed in 3-month cycles, since paid campaigns need room to gather data and compound before they are judged. If you prefer, you also have the option to be billed once a month. One-time work, like a store build or a Klaviyo flow build, is billed as a project fee up front.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes. If you would rather not pay a cycle in one lump sum, a payment plan option is available on my invoices. We can set it up however works best for your cash flow.
Am I locked into a long contract?
Engagements are scoped to fit the work. Some are a single project, others are a set term like a multi-month growth partnership where the strategy has room to compound. Whatever the structure, it is spelled out clearly in your proposal before you commit. No surprises, no fine print.
Who owns the accounts and the work?
You do. Your ad accounts, your store, your email list, and your data stay yours. I build and manage inside your accounts, never on top of them. If we ever part ways, you keep everything that was built.
Working together
How do we communicate and how often?
Clear and regular. You get monthly reporting in plain language that shows what worked and what is next, plus check-in calls depending on the engagement. You will always know where your money went and what it earned. No black box.
Do you work with businesses outside Minneapolis?
Yes. Fresh Start eCommerce is based in Minneapolis and works with brands everywhere. The work happens in your accounts and over calls, so location is not a barrier.
What do you need from me to get going?
Access to the relevant accounts, your products and brand assets, and a quick call to align on goals. I guide you through the rest, including any setup or store changes needed to get ad accounts approved.
